“During dozens of visits to Vestrahorn, one of my all-time favorite locations in Iceland, I photographed this iconic mountain under any kind of light. On this particular evening, the half frozen lagoon and the extreme cold inspired me to create an image expressing the cold beauty of the Icelandic winter – both freezing, and frozen in time. The wind was so strong, and the clouds were moving so fast, that a mildly long exposure of just 15 seconds worked perfectly to freeze the clouds in time, while keeping a sense of movement in them.” – Vieri
