GOLDEN CURVES
“When the sun is low on the horizon, Mesquite Dunes’ sand get a beautiful, saturated golden color. On this particular evening, that inspired me to use the rim light around the dunes’ crests to create an image evoking abstract, feminine curves. I composed the curves against a farther dune, to place the crest against a dark background; rather than going for a full silhouette, I then chose to retain details in the foreground shadows to show the beautiful ripples adorning the dune’s slope.” – Vieri
