LOST SIGNAL
“Groynes, ubiquitous on the coasts of the UK, are a graphically inspiring subject that I never tire to interpret. On this particular evening, the incoming tide barely covering the groyne in the foreground had already managed to cover the further one, leaving out just what looked like a lost signal in the sea. To convey this idea, I needed to transform the crashing waves into a smooth, soft cloud that would work well together with the puffy clouds in the sky. A long exposure of about one and a half minute worked perfectly to convey the idea I envisioned.” – Vieri
