RAGING BURN
“The water flow of Allt A Chapuill varies dramatically according to the time of the year and to the weather, ranging from making the burn nearly impassable to almost no water at all. After over a decade dedicated to exploring the Isle, I know that in early spring there always is plenty of water, and that the burn is raging. To create an image conveying the power of the elements, I decided to hike up the Glen on a stormy day around sunset, hoping for great clouds. I carefully crossed the burn to get to a promontory standing in the middle of it and composed placing the water flow so that it would mimic a patch of snow on the ground. The water was so powerful that even a very short exposure allowed me to render the feeling I was after – raging burn.” – Vieri
