THE PROCESSION

“Talisker is a long time favorite location of mine, one I explored and photographed dozens of times, under any light and with any tide. On this particular evening, the tide was right to work on semi-submerged boulders which I imagined like a procession moving along the coast’s curve and going towards the sea stack. To convey this idea, I needed to simplify the crashing waves, turning them into a smooth expanse of color. A long exposure of just over three minutes worked perfectly to create the photograph I envisioned.” – Vieri
