WINDING ABLAZE
“Podere Baccoleno is one of my favorite locations in the Crete Senesi; the winding, cypress-lined road is very inspiring and offers many possibility for compositions under any weather. Being very familiar with the location, after years working on it, I know where to set up my camera according to the time of the year, the time of the day and the weather. On this particular fall day, the sunset looked very promising; I carefully composed so that the winding road, and the cypress-lined road that keeps going after the first farmhouse, would both be pointing towards the setting sun. When the sky went ablaze, I decided for a mildly long exposure to smoothen the clouds and add some sense of movement to them.” – Vieri
